Women in Tech Winners bring Fresh Startup Gist

The Women in Tech Accelerator Program, organised by the Standard Chartered Foundation and Village Capital, in partnership with Local implementation partners such as: the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC of Atlantic University), has announced the winner of the 2026 cohort.

The total grant announced

On 2nd October, 2026, five Nigerian women entrepreneurs each won a $10,000 grant each, a total of $50,000.

Madam Joke Adu (Hear, Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing Standard Chartered Nigeria) said; “We are very focused on supporting various communities through employability, education and entrepreneurship, and through the Women in Tech Incubator. We support female entrepreneurs within the tech space to thrive and also be employers of labor on the future.”

The winners and what they build

The ventures of the participants span across telepharmacy, event management, accessibility technology, trade and digital education, with solutions designed to create jobs and strengthen communities.

The winners are:
- Jennifer Esiaba (Founder/ CEO, Mariam Grey Pharmacy): she aims at improving access to medication and pharmacist support through telepharmacy and healthcare technology.

  • Christine Imoukhuede (Founder/CEO, Ahavaplan): her focus is on building a platform to help event planners organise clients, vendors, and operations in one place.
  • Toyosi Badejo-Okusanya (Founder/CEO, Adaptive Atelier): she is a tech developer for accessible digital experiences.
  • Fara Popoola (Founder/CEO, Proc360): her plan is to provide assistance to African SMEs with supplier verification and across-border or local trade with greater confidence.
  • Ajoke Haastrup (Founder/CEO, Kidsthatcode): a facility that helps children learn how to code, and build with technology through digital education.

Why this matters for women founders

The facilitators; Standard Chartered Foundation in partner with Village Capital are actively investing in women-leaders tech sectors, to inspire and guide women founders in positioning their ventures for future grants opportunities to scale up their businesses. The cohort reflects the talent and potential of African Women to empower entrepreneurs with the right knowledge, confidence and connections needed to establish sustainable businesses and impact communities and the world.
