# Asake’s 2026: Mr Money Is Having a Moment

If there is one Nigerian artiste who has truly embodied the phrase “booked and busy” in 2026, it is Asake.

From new music and major collaborations to breathtaking live performances and a growing global presence, Mr Money has had quite the year—and his Instagram moments have given fans a front-row seat to the evolution.

The year began with Asake reminding everyone why his sound remains irresistible. By February, BellaNaija reported that he had become Spotify’s most-streamed artist in Nigeria since the platform launched, with four songs appearing among the country’s top ten most-streamed tracks.

Then came a new chapter: M$NEY.

Released as part of his journey with his own label, Giran Republic, the album represented more than another body of work. It signalled an artist stepping confidently into his independence while continuing to experiment with Fuji, Amapiano and global sounds.

And Asake did not stop at the studio. His live performances became another major talking point. From the Red Bull Symphonic to his Spotify Live performance, he reimagined familiar songs with orchestral arrangements, proving that his energetic performance style can translate into something even more theatrical and immersive.

His collaborations also kept fans talking. Wizkid, BNXN, Blaqbonez and Darkoo were among the artistes who shared the spotlight with him this year, with tracks such as “Eja Meja” adding another dimension to his already impressive 2026 run.

Through it all, Asake’s Instagram has remained part of the story—showcasing his fashion, performances, travels and carefully curated visuals.

2026 has not just been another year for Asake. It has been a statement: Mr Money is still evolving, still experimenting, and, most importantly, still making the world pay attention.
